The first volume of the method Je Débute Le Violon, aimed at children aged between 5 and 12, met with such success among budding musicians and their teachers alike, it simply had to be extended. That has now been taken care of, with the publication of Volume 2, which addresses basic instrumental technique - still in first position. Aiming to combine precision with the pleasure of playing, the author starts each lesson with a short sequence of exercises so that pupils can then fully concentrate on the pieces that follow. The theoretical explanations are expressed in very simple terms, and are embellished with sketches that make them even clearer. The album comes with a playback CD of the collection's pieces.
