For every children's and youth choir, the path from monophony to polyphony is an exciting process. 'chorissimo! blue', the new, equal-voice volume of the successful chorus series chorissimo!, accompanies and supports this journey both with an extensive, carefully selected, stylistically diverse repertoire of pieces and with versatile practical working material, including playback and audio CDs as well as a video DVD. The curricularly structured volume leads in six steps from monophony via canons and quodlibets to homophonic and polyphonic two- and three-part harmony, and is thus also ideally suited for music lessons in lower secondary school. Various workshops, some of which are illustrated by videos, focus on individual aspects of choral work such as beatboxing or warm-ups. All titles are accompanied by piano; furthermore, some pieces can also be accompanied by additional instruments or band arrangements, for which flexible voice material is available. A website with mp3 files of the individual parts opens up new, attractive possibilities for rehearsal.

The small basic set offers extensive material for use in music lessons: the choir director's tape with a piano accompaniment to all songs, a separate piano tape, and two playback CDs. A large premium set with more extensive instrumentation is available for concert performances (CV02204-00).
