Attention! This volume does not contain any simplistic "made playable" versions of the Top Ten (or Top Twelve) hits of romantic toccat and finale literature. Rather, they are sensibly shortened arrangements that respond to the fact that many of the works, especially in casualia, but also as epilogues to church services, are too long, so that often the pews are as good as empty from the second half of the pieces at the latest. Since the musical text presented here corresponds to the original versions except for the newly created transitions between the parts, the organist, who already has the pieces in his repertoire, has no additional practice effort. And in the case of the pieces that he does not yet know, he is at best encouraged to get to know the complete original afterwards.
