Come, ye daughters, help me lament, "Have mercy", "We sit down with tears", these and many other poignant movements from Bach's most famous passions have captivated musicians and listeners alike for a good 300 years. Many organists wish to be able to perform these and other pieces on "their" instrument. Following this request, Johannes Schröder presents organ transcriptions of 18 movements from the two Passions. All works can already be performed on two-manual instruments; the level of difficulty ranges from easy (chorales) to intermediate (more complex choral movements and arias). A long-awaited, grateful addition to the repertoire, especially - but not only - for the seven-week fasting and Passion period.
