The ANACROUSE collection offers novice and experienced pianists alike a wide choice of classical works, from the Renaissance to the modern era.

We have set ourselves the goal of offering both "must-haves" from the classical repertoire and pieces by sometimes forgotten composers, all of undeniable pedagogical value. Each piece, sold individually, has been the subject of careful editorial work, both in terms of the musical text and its engraving, in order to guarantee musicians the conditions essential to the pleasures derived from frequent trade in these works.

The scores are offered in the form of traditional works (paper sheets), and also available by download.

A charming pochade universally known, it has passed, and will certainly pass for a long time to come, under all the fingers of apprentice pianists. The date of its composition is not known with certainty. It was first published in Théodore Lack's Méthode de piano in 1909.
Alphonse Leduc published a separate posthumous edition in 1934. The work appears to be an early version of the Children's corner Golliwogg's cake-walk, composed around the same period. Its swaying rhythm, descending chromatic thirds and harmonic minutiae are all reminiscent of Debussy. Let's not look down on these few pages. Their author, far from scorning them, would take up their main theme in La Boîte à joujoux (theme of the English soldier).
