This beautiful Christmas song was written by Mel Torme and Robert Wells in 1944. It is the most broadcasted Christmas songs of all times, according to BMI (Broadcast Music Incorporated). Torme himself recorded it several times, but the recordings of Nat King Cole are the most famous ones. He did four of them, of which the last one from 1961 are the legendary one. Torme and Wells wrote the song on a warm summer day, according to Torme, it was as an effort 'to stay cool by thinking cool'. This arrangemet by Lars Erik Gudim can be performed with a vocal- or instrumental soloist. Solo parts for vocalist, Bb- or Eb instruments are included in the set. It is recorded by The Royal Norwegian Navy Band conducted by Ingar Bergby on the CD 'Julestemning'
