When the march 'Unter dem Doppeladler' was performed for the first time on 30.11.1891, no one had any idea that here one of the few real world marches was born. Even in the USA this march quickly became known and was included in the repertoire of the John Philip Sousa Band. J.F. Wagner was also nicknamed 'the Austrian march king'. With the excellent arrangement by Siegfried Rundel, this 'world march' now appears in a contemporary version (with score and direction).
