The Average White Band, also known as AWB for short, comes from Scotland. They are one of the few white soul bands that became popular with black music. The band was formed in 1972 by Alan Gorrie, Roger Ball, Malcolm Duncan, Robbie McIntosh, Hamish Stuart and Onnie McIntyre.
