Description:
This beautifully haunting Liebman original is a slow/moody jazz waltz, as arranged for Dave (soprano sax feature) and his big band by Pete McGuinness. It is also found on the NewYorkestra big band CD 'Urban Soundscapes' (Seabreeze Jazz SB-2134). Much employment of mutes and woodwind doubles helps create certain orchestral colors reminiscent of Gil Evans and Maria Schneider. Doubles: altos 1+2: flute; tenors 1+2: clarinet; bari sax: bass clarinet. Tenor 2 may play soprano solo part, if no extra tenor player available.
