Description:
A straight-ahead chromatic-blues piece from the Steve Wiest Big Band Libray. Based on a 12- tone row with underlaying chromatic changes, solos are written for trombone (or treble clef instrument) as well as an opional open section for other soloists. Solo trombone (or treble instrument) plays over an exciting shout chorus that modulates twice until the lead trumpet nails a high G. Rhythm section must be able to comp chromatically and play a bit 'out'. 5 saxes, 8 brass, plus solo trombone and treble clef parts.
