An energetic tip of the hat to one of my all-time favorite arrangers, Bill Holman. A sort of Roman a Clef of 'Camptown Races' with lots of linear interest as well as a screaming shout chorus that recurs with variations several times. The intro features some 'out' voicings accompanied by some New Orleans 'second line' drumming, lots of solo space and a great showcase for the drummer at the finish. Lead trpt to high F.
