Description:
Bob Curnow has created a marvelous modal piece that opens with a fanfare in 6/8 and then moves into a lilting 3-4 swing tempo. There is solo space for alto sax and trumpet. The meter shifts from 3-4 to 6/8 a number of times for a gentle, engaging change in the pulse of the piece. This is dedicated to the memory of Johnny Richards (and you just might hear a bit of him in this). 5-4-4-4 (with opt. parts for 10 brass)
