Originally recorded by Count Basie and played by him at a Grammy Awards concert, this arrangement was also recorded by the SWR Big Band in 2005 on their CD 'Basie-cally Sammy.' It has optional solos for all, features trombone and alto sax solos, and includes some quieter ensemble choruses for good measure. Four of five trumpet parts call for flugelhorn doubles and alto saxes have optional flute doubles.
