Commissioned by the Jazz Division of the Illinois Music Educator's Association, this Basie-style swing chart is based on the chord changes to the jazz standard Sunday. Rich voicings and solid swing figures combine to create outstanding ensemble work for the entire band. Though chord changes for the solo section are provided for alto, tenor, trumpet and trombone, guitar or piano may also substitute for any of the horn solos. Rhythm section parts are notated with chords cued.
