Description:
1st movement of Themes and Variations, a three movement jazz suite. Swing style. The opening theme ( letters A and B) and the first variation (letters C and D) are stated by the ensemble. Letters E and F are open for solos. Letter F also includes an optional background on cue. On the very last three measures the piano solo would be better out of tempo. This should not be a problem since the other instruments are sustained. Trpt. to written A above staff . A,T,B, 1 trpt, bone, G,P,B,d. Medium difficult.
