Malinke's Dance is a funky boogaloo originally recorded live on a CD of the same name by the Marty Ehrlich quartet Traveler's Tales. This arrangement develops material from the live performance into a smoldering big band chart. Solo space over an appealingly simple chord progression is given to trumpet and tenor sax; lead trumpet needs a solid, sustained high G at the end of the chart. Instrumentation: SATB; 4 trumpets; 4 trombones, piano, guitar, bass, drums.
