Description:
This is a really fun piece that mixes a Brazilian Maracatu groove with a New Orleans second line groove. It features the tenor saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and drum set as soloists. Piano, guitar and bass can also be added as soloists. The shout chorus features all sections, especially the trombones. Arranged for the standard big band, with saxophones doubling on easy flute parts. Instrumentation: 2 altos, 2 tenors, baritone sax, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, guitar, piano, bass, and drums. Doubles: flute. The highest note on the trumpet is a concert Db above the staff. Medium/Difficult.
