Description:
Opens with a med. up piano/bass/drums esposition of the harmonic framework based upon a series of non functional first inversion chords, followed by an exposition of the main theme ( first by the altos and tpt - later split into two parts echoing each other). and accompanied by a gradually building brass ensemble. Solos (ten 1 and tpt 4) begin with a semi 'free' section that gradually gains momentum into an intense jazz feel. Exciting ensemble follows with recap of the main theme and a coda with ensemble shots and drum breaks. Lead tot extends to high F.5,4,4,G,P,B,D. Difficult.
