Description:
As recorded by the great Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra on the album Suite For Pops, this ballad showcases the breathy sound of flutes, the mellow sound of short flugelhorn solos (written lines provided), and the warmth of an improvised solo chorus for trombone. The chart calls for an expressive approach from everyone, and ends with a flugel fill over a sustained ensemble chord. Duration 6:22.
