Description:
Our chart has been transcribed from the fine Jerry Gray chart written for the Glenn Miller band. Originally scored for six brass, we have augmented it up to a full eight voices. The Alto and Trumpet solos are improvised from the chords provided. As with many Miller charts, much use is made of a repeating riff theme, taken by the reeds. The structure of the chart is an eight measure intro, full chorus, eight measure bridge, three quarter chorus for solos, an unexpected half-step modulation to a four measure bridge, then a half-chorus re-statement of the theme to close. There are no sax doubles.
