Description:
Of all the arrangements done of this iconic Strayhorn/Ellington standard, Don Sebesky's chart, written for the Maynard Ferguson Orchestra (and recorded numerous times) ranks as one of the best, most creative and challenging versions. Bob Curnow has complimented the chart by scoring it for standard big band instrumentation (5 saxophones, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, piano, bass and drums.) This one really moves, and it will move your band and audiences. 5-4-4-3
