Description:
This beautiful and haunting ballad by John Benson Brooks was superbly crafted into a piano showcase by Gil Evans. This has all of the wonderful elements of Gil's writing for the Thornhill band. All reeds double on either clarinet or bass clarinet (see below). Included are optional alternate parts for the horns in F and tuba. Though it is recomended that the original instrumentation be used if at all possible. Ranges: Trumpet 1: to A5; Trombone 1: to D4.
