Johann Sebastian Bach's cantatas can still inspire us today, but their texts have often become alien to us. Carola Moosbach's poetic commentaries take the risk of providing a poem in response to each of these almost 200 sacred cantatas. This "answer" aims to explain and interpret what has been found, as well as providing the author's personal reflection and opinion. Carola Moosbach, born in 1957, is a lawyer and has lived in Cologne since 1978. For her first two volumes of poetry, she received the Women's Church Calendar Prize for God's Poets in 2000.
