Teachers learn that such excursions are not an unrealistic addition to an already overcrowded curriculum, but that numerous central goals and content can be achieved in a more sustainable way than would be possible in the classroom.
Because there are not always "productive" churches nearby for an excursion, many of the teaching modules, games, songs, dances etc. can also be carried out in the classroom. The ideas in this book can therefore not only be used to prepare for and follow up an excursion, but also offer suggestions for organizing "normal" religious education lessons.
