Inga Mai Groote examines the international dimension of the reception of Schütz from a comparative perspective. Peter Schmitz then provides an overview of early sources on the reception of Schütz in Germany during the 19th century, while Ullrich Scheideler and Walter Werbeck highlight new aspects of Carl von Winterfeld’s and Philipp Spitta’s engagement with Schütz. Michael Meyer continues the international perspective with his study on the reception of Schütz in Switzerland and builds a bridge to the 20th century.
