Description:
Ötzi Ritual Dance by composer Jean-François Michel is a work that combines humor, fantasy and musical freedom. After lengthy historical research, the work draws inspiration from the famous prehistoric corpse of Ötzi, found in the Alps, to imagine what he would have felt if he had discovered his own voice. Beyond this imaginative idea, however, the piece is above all a pretext to give the performers the opportunity to express themselves without constraints. It invites a complete letting go, where play and energy take precedence over rigor. Every moment becomes a celebration of creativity and spontaneity. The work oscillates between moments of ritual intensity and lighter, sometimes surprising passages that arouse the listener's curiosity. Ötzi Ritual Dance is thus a true musical playground where the joy of playing is palpable at every moment. It is a work that is good for both the performers and the audience.
