Description:
The source of inspiration for this work was three great explorers of the past, who traveled with courage and perseverance to unknown areas of the world. The expeditions of Marco Polo, Christopher Columbus and Abel Tasman, the first European to reach New Zealand, serve as a thematic and expressive basis. The piece consists of several through-composed movements that flow into each other. Each movement represents an important phase of the journey: from the expectant departure, to exciting and different moods that address the uncertainties and challenges along the way, to triumphant passages in which the discoveries and successes are presented. An adventurous piece of music that is varied and inspiring! This hybrid edition includes a printed score and unlimited access to digital parts.
