Rōnin were masterless Japanese samurai during the feudal period from 1185 to 1868. A samurai could become masterless if his master died, was removed from office by the shōgunate or if he fell out of favor with his master and was disowned. In Japanese culture, the Rōnin were considered dishonorable and were the target of ridicule and satire. But they always lived in harmony with themselves and nature and loved the traditional Japanese festivals!
