Cette petite symphonie en trois mouvements laisse la part belle aux instruments solistes. They become almost the personnages of this piece of theater saugrenue. Each of them expresses his own character, giving the work a truly 'orchestral' sonority. Tous les roles sont importants pour recreer l'univers sonore parfois surrealiste du compositeur. The three movements may seem very different from each other, but they are melodically indissociable. En effet, certain suites de notes (corresponding to the letters composing the name 'Jean-Philippe Heim', dedicataire de l'oeuvre) se baladent dans chacun des mouvements et varient inlassablement jusqu'a en etre meconnaissables.
