Description:
Children's musical for one to two-part choir, soloists, flute, strings, piano, drums and bass
A dangerous journey through the desert of the Near East leads the beautiful and inquisitive Queen of Sheba to Solomon, the King of Israel. She is accompanied by her court: the retinue with the servants and her three advisors, who prepare the royal meeting in a very special way...But can Solomon really answer all of the queen's questions?
One to two-part choir and soloists tell us this story in an exciting and humorous way. Royal advisors put forward daring theories and organize a fun quiz.
The Queen of Sheba has been impressing people for almost 3000 years: She is beautiful, incredibly rich and clever. Her story can be found in the Old Testament as well as in the Koran and in many very old legends.children quickly identify with the queen because they like to ask questions themselves. At the end, Solomon makes a clear commitment to the one God in whom he trusts. However, it also becomes clear that it is not about getting all the questions answered, but that it is important to keep on asking.
"The play is well suited for children's and school choirs who would like to perform a larger biblical musical. Gives room for imaginative interpretation." (Music & Church)
