Der auf seiner Wolke über das Land fliegende Florian sieht nicht nur schöne Dinge, sondern erfährt auch, wie menschlicher Leichtsinn, Dummheit und Gewinnsucht in Umweltzerstörung und Krieg enden können. Eine Lösung wird nicht angeboten; die Kantate endet in einer Art Appell: Menschen müssen bleiben, doch wir hoffen, dass ihr Treiben in der Zukunft besser sei!
