The Missa latina is a work that fits well into a church service due to its brevity, but at the same time can be rehearsed with absolutely manageable effort. The instrumentation is maximally variable, so that it can be realized with a smaller or larger ensemble, depending on the circumstances. At the same time, the musical content is catchy and popular without slipping into shallow entertainment pop. The rhythm-based Latin patterns are based on the rhythm section, which can be supplemented by winds, strings or other instruments at any time. The structure in patterns or loops also allows a very variable length, as needed. Solos can be improvised freely over the patterns of the rhythm section, depending on the situation and instrumentation, or can be created from the material of the instrumental parts (in C / Bb / Eb).
