Description:
The commission to compose this mass came from Stuttgart Cathedral: the aim was to create an ordinarium that - in line with the pandemic-related restrictions on choral worship music - was to be scored for a small number of voices and could be rehearsed in the shortest possible time. The young composer Lukas Grimm solved this task by writing a short, two-part Ordinary (without Credo) with organ accompaniment, in which the second part is always in canon to the first, which drastically reduces the rehearsal effort. Thanks to the pleasant range of the voices, the mass can be performed by two equal or mixed voice groups. The work also impresses with a lively sound and an unspent freshness, which the audience can also feel and enjoy.
The score is copy-protected for individual performances. This is only removed if the choral score or the orchestral material is purchased at the same time.
