Camille van Lunen has performed a wide range of commissioned compositions in the course of her career to date. From the children's opera Der Felsenjunge (Leverkusen, 2005) to O Mare Nostrum (Acht Brücken Festival Köln, 2016), an adaptation of her award-winning work O Sacrum Convivium in which van Lunen gives a voice to refugees newly settled in Germany, to Fusion for choir and trombone (Prix du Département de la Loire, 2020).
However, subtle humor can also be found in Camille van Lunen's compositions. Examples of this are the wind quintet Entgleistt (2006) or the Songs of the British Isles (2008). Van Lunen's oeuvre is both demanding and rewarding for performers and audiences alike. She is undoubtedly an important voice in the contemporary music world.
