In four scenes, the musical takes up the legend surrounding the creation of the Advent Trail in Königsberg: The wealthy merchant Sturgis enjoys a high reputation in his city thanks to patronizing donations. But he dislikes the sight of impoverished people using a path not far from his villa as a shortcut into the city - and he takes action.
