As the sixth movement of his celebrated cycle "City Songs", this piece incomparably captures the poetic depth of the English verses by contemporary poet Emma Jones.
Scored for five-part mixed choir (SSATB) with accompaniment by either piano or harp, the music unfolds in a delicate, flowing, and truly magical atmosphere. Ešenvalds masterfully weaves rich, floating harmonies and expressive melodic lines into a captivating auditory experience that will enchant both singers and audiences alike.
