The latest composition by the former Brixen cathedral conductor Heinrich Walder excellently expresses the reverently astonished greeting to Mary with its almost floating, swinging sound. Since the beautiful work is offered in three compatible versions for SSA, SATB (BU 3152) and SABar (BU 3156), it is not only suitable for liturgy and concerts, but also for singing together by several choirs of different instrumentations, for example at choir meetings. The composition, which can be performed both a cappella and with organ accompaniment, represents a welcome alternative to the established canon of the "Ave Maria settings".
