Following the success of Christmas a cappella (BA7573), the versatile collection of Christmas songs for mixed choir, Graham Buckland now publishes a separate volume with movements for women's choir. The collection ranges from traditional movements to popular songs and offers the best-known melodies from the USA, England, France, Germany, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic and other countries. Monophonic songs and canons are included as well as traditional movements, but above all many new arrangements for two female voices, often with an optional third voice and always with piano accompaniment.
The editor
Graham Buckland is a conductor and composer who studied in Cambridge, London and Brno. He was an opera conductor for 20 years in Prague, Nuremberg, Hanover, Oldenburg and Brno. Today he is university music director in Regensburg.
