Description:
Immerse yourself in the poignant melancholy of a timeless classic: "Es geht ein dunkle Wolk herein" is one of the most renowned and evocative German folk songs of the 16th century. In this artful arrangement for female choir (SSSAAA), published by Porfiri & Horvath, the traditional work unfolds an extraordinary tonal depth and emotional resonance.
As the opening piece of the series "Internationale Volkslieder für Frauenchor" (No. 1), this rich six-part setting offers ambitious treble choirs and vocal ensembles an ideal opportunity to showcase their full expressive spectrum. The dense harmonic texture and the poetic symbolism of the gathering dark cloud make this piece a captivating highlight for sophisticated concert programmes, festivals, and choral competitions. Available as a clear choral score.
