Description:
Es kommt ein Schiff geladen is one of the oldest, most profound, and atmospheric carols of the Advent season. Originally preserved in the Andernach Hymnal (Cologne, 1608), this traditional melody radiates a timeless fascination full of mysticism and contemplative anticipation. In this sensitive setting for four-part women's choir (SSAA), published by the renowned Friedrich Hofmeister Musikverlag, the beloved Advent hymn shines in warm, floating harmonies. The clear choral score is ideally suited for ambitious ensembles as well as female and youth choirs wishing to add a touching, devotional highlight to their Advent and Christmas concerts or festive church services. A beautiful enrichment for any seasonal repertoire that will captivate singers and audiences alike.
