Description:
A pupil of César Franck and organist at St. Clotilde's, he is known today in particular for his solid organ works. However, he also wrote rich Romantic choral music and we present a long out-of-print gem from this oeuvre, which is virtually unknown today: A lively motet of praise based on the well-known verses from Psalm 117. The motor skills and harmonies are predominantly shaped by the colorful organ accompaniment; the two-part choir is allowed to indulge in joyful jubilation from the very beginning with a technically very simple movement. A rewarding, quickly learnable addition to the repertoire with typical French-Romantic flair!
