Description:
Village Wedding is a series of musical and verbal images, describing a village wedding in Greece. Text is taken from Village Wedding by Angelos Sikelianos (translated from the Greek by Philip Sherrard and Edmund Keeley) and from the Orthodox Wedding Service. The work was written for solo voices (unaccompanied counter tenor, two tenors and bass), but could equally well be performed by a small choir.
