1 Incarnatus est & 2 Dona nobis pacem These two motets for a cappella choir are in the pure tradition of sacred music, in which the union of voices becomes the vehicle of intense spiritual expression. 1 Incarnatus est, inspired by the Credo, illustrates the mystery of the Incarnation in a solemn and moving way. The polyphonic writing, which is both delicate and dense, emphasizes the contemplative character of the text. Subtle harmonies and simple melodic lines convey the humility and depth of this fundamental passage of the Christian faith. 2 Dona nobis pacem, a universal prayer for peace, unfolds in an atmosphere of serenity and hope. The gradual overlapping of the voices creates an increase in intensity, leading to a radiant climax before fading out in a gentle conclusion, like a breath of peace addressed to the world. These two motets, conceived to emphasize the purity of the voices without instrumental accompaniment, offer a moment of introspection and reflection in which the music transcends the words to touch the heart and soul.
