Description:
In this impressive, double-choir a cappella work, Beat Furrer sets the text from the sixth book of Lucretius' treatise "De rerum natura" ("On the Nature of Things") to music. The lines, written in artful meter, were written in the 1st century BC and are still of astonishing visual power today. The short work was initiated by the German Choral Association and premiered in 2015 by the SWR Vocal Ensemble.
