The motto of the international Pueri Cantores 2025 festival in Munich is also the title of the choir book that will be published to accompany it. "Cantate Domino" stands for the internationality of the global community of Pueri Cantores, while at the same time highlighting its essential mission. The second part of the title "Polyphonic for Peace" refers to the country in which the festival takes place and shows the central concern of singing for peace in the world. The addition #comeandsing in turn emphasizes the topicality: the majority of the compositions in this choir book are by living composers, including many commissioned for the festival. The choir book thus makes a high-quality contribution to contemporary church music.

The approximately 60 choral movements are mostly written for mixed choir a cappella or with organ accompaniment, some also with wind sections. Some of the pieces are also available in arrangements for upper voice choirs (SSA) and can be performed both individually and simultaneously with both instrumentations. At the end of the volume, after the liturgy-related sections, there are three to four pieces each for children's choirs, youth choirs, girls' choirs and boys' choirs, followed by the pieces for the concluding "Festival of Cultures".
