Description:
The traditional Passion hymn "Christi Mutter stand mit Schmerzen" (known from the Gotteslob hymnal as GL 584) is one of the most poignant chants of the Lenten and Passion season. Published by the renowned Dr. J. Butz Musikverlag, this exquisite setting for mixed choir brings the profound sorrow of the Stabat Mater to life with remarkable sonic depth and spiritual expressiveness. The sensitive choral writing draws both singers and listeners into the reflective scene beneath the Cross, carried by touching harmonies and moving intimacy. This practical choral score is ideally suited for Holy Week services, Stations of the Cross devotions, and thematic Passiontide concerts. A rewarding and beautiful enrichment for any church choir's repertoire.
