A Christmas composition by John Høybye and Edward Broadbridge that bears the familiar style of the writing duo: jazzy, rhythmic, with scat syllables—and with a thematic approach that goes beyond the conventional. Christmas and the Resurrection are intertwined, giving this work a distinct character of its own. "World Reborn. Christmas Music" is a non-scenic vocal work for mixed choir and piano, consisting of ten pieces with a total duration of about 20 minutes. The music is accessible and is also suitable for youth choirs. The choral arrangement features manageable voice parts; the short solo sections can be performed by members of the choir or in a semi-choral style. The only mandatory instrument is the piano; double bass, electric bass, drums, and percussion may be added as optional elements. Due to its flexibility, the work is suitable for a wide variety of performance settings.
