Description:
Claus Kühnl has used texts from the Old Testament book of Job, the baroque poet Angelus Silesius and the church father Pseudo-Dionysius from the early 6th century for his spiritual motets. For a searching person, these texts represent interesting models for thought, for the believer genuine consolation and edification.
Claus Kühnl's own musical language, as well as existing cluster sounds, spoken and whispered effects make the pieces an exciting listening experience.
The world premiere will be given by the Junge Kantorei Frankfurt in November 2017.
