Description:
What initially looks like a "normal" German mass for SATB and organ turns out to be a veritable "multifunctional tool" for the music-making of various groups in the congregation: a one- or two-part children's choir can be added (the work is based on the composer's "Children's Choir Mass", BU 2397, which has been successful for years), as well as four wind instruments and timpani, and a vocal or instrumental upper voice can crown the movement in the Agnus Dei. In the verse-like movements, the congregation can even take part in the descant verses. Whether in the minimal version with organ (or piano) or with the "big instruments": this fresh mass, which immediately appeals to singers of all ages, will inspire all performers and leave quite a few of them with catchy tunes after the service.
The children's choir uses the choral scores of the compatible children's choir version BU 2397.
