Description:
Songs for mixed choir and piano for the Christmas season. Songs of waiting and anticipation, of light in the darkness, of joy at the birth of Christ, and of the Wise Men from the East—treasures for liturgy and concert.
This collection contains 18 songs for mixed choir (SATB) and piano for the Advent and Christmas season: songs of waiting and anticipation, of light in the darkness, of joy at the birth of Christ, and of the Wise Men from the East. The pieces are equally suitable for use in liturgical services and concerts. The accompaniments are primarily intended for a touch-sensitive keyboard instrument (piano, electric piano). For some pieces, a harp accompaniment is an appealing alternative. Accompaniment on the pipe organ is also possible for the most part. A plucked double bass can enrich the soundscape. A double bass part has therefore been published as a supplement. It should be noted that accompaniment arrangements for various instrumentations are available for individual pieces. A note to this effect is included directly in the score. Some pieces can also be performed a cappella (Nos. 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 18). May the choral works presented here bring joy to many people during the Advent and Christmas season!
